Updated university agreements


Coventry University, UK – London Campus ABE is pleased to announce that ABE qualification holders now have the opportunity to study at the


Coventry University London Campus (CULC). The University has recently confirmed new progression routes for holders of the ABE Advanced Diploma in Business Management, in Marketing and in Financial Management. Students with qualified results are eligible for entry onto the final year of the following degree programmes: l Bachelors Degree in Global Business For holders of the ABE Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management, there is also a 60 credit exemption, that they can claim for entry onto this MBA programme at the University’s London campus.


l MBAs There will be no Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) for the top-up, but 60 credits (4 core modules) will be given for the Postgraduate Diploma. Students will therefore enter the MBA in term 2. CULC has two intakes a year for the top- up and four intakes a year for the MBA. Students would be able to join at any intake.


Heriot-Watt University, UK The University recently added the following pathway for holders of the ABE Advanced Diploma in


Business Management. Students who completed this qualification may now be eligible for entry onto to Stage 3 of the following degrees: l Bachelor of Business Administration l BA in Management


The University has also added exemption options for ABE Diploma holders who have completed the ABE subject: Principles of Business Law.


Charles Sturt University, Australia In addition to the existing progression routes in place, Charles Sturt University has


agreed to further pathways for holders of the ABE Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management:


Students with three years’ work experience who have completed the ABE Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management can claim eight credit points for entry onto the University’s Masters of Business Administration programme: l SBMP Strategic Business Management and Planning – MBA501 Management, People and Organisations


l ORM Organisational Resource Management – MBA506 Foundations of Operations Management


l MFRP Management of Financial Resources and Performance – FIN516 Corporate Finance


l LCM Leadership and Change Management – MGT540 Management of Change


l CMIA Corporate Management in Action - MGT535 Development and Managing the Enterprise


De Montfort University ABE is pleased to announce enhanced progression routes for


ABE qualification holders onto degree courses at De Montfort University as follows:


Students on Business Management programmes at ABE who have completed and passed the Postgraduate Diploma, may receive 60 credits of exemptions (i.e. four modules in Semester 1). This means they can join the Masters programmes in January of each year instead of September, (i.e. in Semester 2 instead of Semester 1).


Students will have to complete four modules (Research Methodology and three electives) plus a dissertation between January and September.


Students will be able to join the following Masters programmes with the above exemptions:


l MSc International Business & Management l MSc International Business & Finance l MSc International Business & Entrepreneurship


l Master of Business Administration
