New stadium has sustainability features
Chesterfield Football Club’s new b2net stadium has at its heart some of the most modern sustainability features of any stadium in Britain. Supplied by Franke Sissons, whose manufacturing plant lies within half a mile of the stadium, the public and disabled persons
Leading washroom provider, Washroom Washroom, was recently selected to provide and install washrooms, clean rooms and bespoke desking and storage facilities in a newly built GP-Led Health Centre (GPLHC) based in South Camden.
Washroom Washroom prescribes Health Care facilities
A key feature of the GPLHC was the installation of Washroom Washroom’s Integrated Panelling System (IPS). The provision of IPS enabled all sanitary ware and services to be integrated into the washroom system at Washroom Washroom’s state-of-the-art factory before being installed onsite, significantly reducing site waste and environmental impact, whilst also reducing site installation time.
Pre-plumbed Concerto ducts were specified as part of IPS provisions, tailor manufactured to requirements with sealed sanitary ware readily built in for ease and convenience. Similarly, WC provisions were also built-in, ready for a straightforward installation onsite. Ducts suitably concealed any unsightly pre- manufactured services from sight for an attractive finish, whilst still allowing for ease of access for maintenance if required.

14 feature :: washroom
washrooms incorporate stainless steel washtroughs, WCs, urinals and accessories for toilet paper, soap and paper towel dispensing, all with the latest self closing water control technology, saving water on a huge scale. The players’ dressing rooms have wall mounted shower heads and controls as well as urinals and washbasins in stainless steel. As befits the corporate and VIP areas of the stadium Franke Sissons electronic taps and upmarket Stratos soap and paper towel dispensers have been installed.
Permanent water consumption savings in the new stadium are achieved in two ways. Self closing technology employed throughout the washrooms ensure taps
can never be left running, while flush water for the urinals is provided from cisterns that only operate when the facility is being used. Urinal cisterns and related delivery pipework are concealed, helping to ensure that the facilities will withstand the intensive use that can be expected in a sports stadium environment. Washtroughs and toilets within the stadium are complemented by stainless steel accessories such as grab rails, paper towel dispensers and toilet roll holders and disabled visitors enjoy the most modern Franke designed disabled washroom facilities.

Rada’s V10 delivers home style without compromise
Ideal for light commercial or semi- residential applications such as leisure clubs or University accommodation, the new Rada V10 sequential shower control offers exceptional contemporary styling without any compromise to performance. The Rada V10 has all the aesthetic appeal of domestic shower controls, but with the build quality and safety features necessary in the commercial environment. Its robust cartridge stops will withstand heavy usage in public areas – and occasional misuse – while the thermostatic mixing valve conforms to TMV2, the standard designed
to prevent scalding.
The V10’s ergonomic control handle incorporates finger grips and a lever, making it easier to grip and operate, while its clear and permanent graphics make it easy to understand. Simple-to-install and maintain, the V10 features top or bottom outlets and swivel elbows so it can be connected to rising, falling or rear-fed pipework and the single-piece plastic cartridge can be replaced in minutes, saving time significantly.
It has strong green credentials – small valves use less brass in manufacture – and the option of a six litre/minute flow regulator means that it can reduce running costs and exceed BREEAM guidelines for sustainable buildings. The V10 is available in surface mounted, exposed configurations or as an all-in-one contract pack for refurbishment that comes complete with valve, adjustable elbows, vandal resistant shower head and rigid riser pipe.
