Aristocrat’s Oasis 360

fter an extensive process, Ameristar Casinos has selected Aristocrat’s Oasis

360 system to continue to monitor and support its 11,000 games in six casinos in Colorado, Iowa, Mississippi, Missouri and Nevada. Aristocrat President Nick Khin

said, “This was an exceptionally challenging RFP process in which we were battling head-to-head against every other major supplier’s system. We are absolutely thrilled that Ameristar, with every choice available to it, chose to continue our eight-year partnership. We are very confident in our product, and in our team, and we know that we will continue to deliver everything that Ameristar expects so that it can continue to provide outstanding service to their players.” “We carefully scrutinized every

major system available, with the goal of finding the system that best suited our extensive marketing goals. We chose to stay with Aristocrat because we believe the Oasis 360 system is extremely powerful and Aristocrat’s future development path is aligned with our corporate initiatives,” said Sheleen Quish, CIO of Ameristar.

ally Technologies has agreed a contract with Penn National Gaming to provide its ACSC slot- management system and an array of marketing

and bonusing technology to Penn National’s three casino properties currently in development, as well as the Empress Casino in Joliet, Illinois. Penn National Gaming has selected Bally systems

for their next three casino openings, including open in Maryland. In addition to the new properties, Penn will replace a competitor’s system at the Empress Casino Hotel in Chicagoland. “We are very pleased to be entering into an

agreement with Bally,” said Tom Beauchamp, Chief Information Officer for Penn National Gaming. “It is both reassuring and rewarding that Penn

National recognizes our long-term commitment to systems and our technology vision for the future,” said Richard Haddrill, Chief Executive Officer of Bally Technologies, Inc. “Penn is a very experienced and knowledgeable operator, and it is very gratifying that they chose Bally.” Haddrill added, “It is important to us that Penn

selected us not just for the new casinos, but also to add value to their newly remodeled Empress Casino. For Bally, this validates our commitment to add value to new and existing products and businesses.” Building on the core functionality of the ACSC

system for slot monitoring, casino accounting, and hotel functions, Penn has selected Bally’s hardware and software for player development to track, reward, and retain players and build a comprehensive patron database for marketing from the mailbox to the point of play. The Bally services division that installs or upgrades

more than 250 systems per year will work with Penn to implement Bally’s solutions at the Empress Casino Hotel and the Hollywood Perryville properties in late 2010, while Penn National’s two new Ohio casinos are slated to open in the second half of calendar 2012.

Organic Twins arrives at Casino Fortuna, Slovenia

E

lektroncek’s latest installation of Organic Twins, with two electromechanical roulette centres and Video Blackjack with PID, happened in July at Casino Fortuna in Nova Gorica, Slovenia. “Organic Twins” is an impressive looking machine, with utilization of

available terminals being the key behind its creation. This multi-game, multi-denominational offering allows players to flip between games as they desire, with the objective of increasing play on each individual station through giving players what they want, when they want it. The use of “Player Information Displays” in the centre of the machine allows players on one side of the machine to see what’s happening with the game on the other side, as well as each player screen housing a live video feed of the game in play.

installation of its new Bally TV in-room television service at the Miccosukee Resort & Gaming in suburban Miami. From the comfort of each resort guest’s hotel room

via the in-room TV, Bally TV enables casinos to deliver customized marketing messages, cross- promote casino and resort amenities and events, and provide access and interface to player’s club account information and features. The innovation also enables operators to offer guests a number of customer-service options not currently available on in-room TV programming. Bally TV is a collaborative innovation from Bally

Technologies and InfoValue, a company regarded as a pioneer and expert in IPTV. The two companies worked together to create a customized solution that integrates with hotel/resort systems and Bally Systems solutions, including Bally’s CoolSign award- winning media-management technology. CoolSign gives operators the ability to send targeted marketing messages customized with the individual guest’s name directly to the Bally TV displays via Bally TV’s IPTV Ethernet connection, giving operators another way to communicate directly to guests as part of the in-room entertainment experience. “Our new rooms are world-class and we needed a

high-definition media and guest communication system to match,” said Glenn Cortes, IT Director at Miccosukee Resort and Gaming. “Bally Technologies provided CoolSign digital signage in our public areas, and Bally TV in-room to deliver the high-definition programming and video on demand our guests expect, but more importantly, giving our marketing and operations team the ability to up-sell throughout the property, including the HD guest portal and targeted guest messaging on the in-room TVs.”

MEI success with Cogetech, Macedonia install

Cogetech and MEI recently signed a partnership for all of Cogetech’s

VLT games to be equipped with the MEI CASHFLOW SC note validators. The nine-year contract includes Cogetech’s 5,200 existing machines as well as all future orders it receives. “The strong usage of VLT machines make the banknote reader a real

focal point,” says Fabio Schiavolin, CEO at Cogetech. “We understand increased acceptance rates, especially of street quality notes, can impact the amount of play on the slot floor and ultimately increase profitability.”

Meanwhile, Suzo Happ has completed a value-added trial of the MEI

CASHFLOW SC banknote reader at Casino Apollonia in Macedonia. Management at Casino Apollonia now specifies MEI with immediate effect on all new slots purchases. Suzo Happ introduced the MEI CASHFLOW SC banknote reader to

Casino Apollonia last year. The MEI CASHFLOW SC banknote reader stood out so strongly that the casino management took the decision to specify MEI 100% on all new slots purchases.
