2009. Capacity has seen an impressive growth of 22 per cent in 2010, and already this is beginning to produce favourable results. "The short break market remains extremely important,

“The burgeoning popularity of the all- inclusive sector continues to dominate sales to the Spanish islands, specifically
to Tenerife and Fuerteventura in the Canaries and Majorca in the Balearics. Tenerife and Fuerteventura have an excellent stock of
four-star units with Majorca dominating in the three- star sector.
"Almost 50 per cent of Cosmos sales to Spain are
for all-inclusives and there are no signs of this slowing down, with most new units for summer 2011 offering all-inclusive.”

My Spanish Islands... by Oliver Broad
“I have enjoyed going on family holidays to Majorca since I was a boy, and more recently I tried a city break in Palma where the culture and nightlife are excellent. Majorca is starting to appeal to a younger market, especially in Palma, and chic hotels such as the Hilton Sa Torre converted from a monastery. In Majorca you can see beaches, a city, and mountains above the clouds in one day. I keep finding new places I didn’t know existed.”
