Cash, a TV, three video game systems, a cable box, a GPS device and a DVD player were among property stolen from an apartment entered by prying open a security gate and a window. The apartment was also ransacked. CONGRESS ST., 1300 block, 3 to 8 p.m. June 27. Property was stolen from a residence entered by smashing a window. GREEN ST., 2300 block, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 24. O ST., 3100 block, 9 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. June 25. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a basement window. RIDGE PL., 1400 block, 12:15 p.m. June 28. A male, 15, was arrested inside an acquaintance’s residence that he had entered by climbing through a window. An investigation determined that he had broken into the property on several occasions. SAVANNAH ST., 1100 block, 5:01 p.m. to 2 a.m. June 29. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force. SAVANNAH ST., 1900 block, 7:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. June 28. Property was stolen from an apartment. There was no sign of forced entry. 28TH ST., 1700 block, 9:30 a.m. to 9:10 p.m. June 26. Property was stolen from a residence entered by removing a fan from a window.

HOMICIDES GALVESTON ST., 1-99 block, 3:07 a.m. June 27. Charles Bell, 29, of Southwest Washington, was found with multiple gunshot wounds on a sidewalk. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:01 a.m. ROBBERIES LST., 1-99 block, 11:45 p.m. June 24. Two men assaulted and robbed a male in a parking lot after he was unable to provide them with a cigarette. They fled the scene. MST., 400 block, 2:15 a.m. June 26. Several men assaulted and robbed a male pedestrian. SIXTH ST., 900 block, 9:08 p.m. June 27. A man threatened a male near an apartment building and demanded cash. The male refused and the assailant fled empty-handed.
SEVENTH AND D STREETS, 7:30 to 7:35 a.m. June 28. A male passenger in a train felt a man rub against his leg. When he got up to leave, he noticed his wallet had been taken. 12TH ST., 500 block, 10:35 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. June 24. Two males approached a man as he was leaving an office building. One held his hand in his waistband to imply he was armed with a weapon while the other robber showed a handgun and demanded property. As the man attempted to run back to his office building to alert a security officer, he fell. He then gave up property, and the robbers fled. A police officer saw them running and chased them. One escaped. A male, 13, was arrested. THEFTS/BREAK-INS GALVESTON ST., 1-99 block, 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 p.m. June 23. Property was stolen from a residence entered by smashing a window. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. AVE., 4600 block, 6 p.m. June 22 to 5:45 p.m. June 27. Property was stolen from a residence entered by prying a metal bracket of a door. FIRST ST., 1300 block, 1 to 11:30 p.m. June 23. A uniform was taken from a home possibly entered through a crawl space connecting two residences. FIRST ST., 4700 block, 3:30 to 9:30 p.m. June 23. A person entered an apartment using a key, and a bedroom and a closet were ransacked. Nothing was reported stolen.
