HOMICIDES KENILWORTH AVE., 1500 block, 11:01 a.m. June 27. Charles Logan, 46, of Hyattsville, was found with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle that had crashed into a pole. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:53 a.m. 19TH ST., 1200 block, 1:45 a.m. June 26. Brandon McClanahan, 24, of Maryland, was found in an alley. He was treated at the scene for multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at 4:01 a.m. 21ST ST., 800 block, 1:47 a.m. June 26. Steven D. Mahogany, 16, of the District was found on the stairs of a courtyard with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Howard University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:39 a.m. ROBBERIES BLAINE ST., 4200 block, 9:30 p.m. June 27. A man snatched a laptop computer from a person using it outside. GALES ST., 1500 block, 2:20 p.m. June 29. A gunman forced his way inside an occupied residence and robbed a person of a wallet, then fled out a back door. JUST ST., 500 block, 9:55 p.m. June 28. Three males approached a male, threatened him and robbed him of property. MARYLAND AVE., 1300 block, 11:16 p.m. June 28. Two male youths robbed a motorist getting out of a vehicle of his keys at gunpoint. They then sped away in the vehicle. MINNESOTA AVE., 3800 block, 5:01 a.m. June 24. Three males, one on a bicycle, approached a male who was pumping gas into a Hummer. While the bicyclist held him in a chokehold, the other two robbed him of keys. One assailant drove away in the Hummer, while another fled in a separate vehicle. MINNESOTA AVE., 3800 block, 8:45 p.m. June 29. Two males attacked a pedestrian and robbed him of a book bag, a cellphone and chain. MOUNT OLIVET RD., 1200 block, 8:55 p.m. June 26. A man in a parking lot robbed a female in a wheelchair of a purse. NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 6100 block, 6:50 p.m. June 27. Three male teenagers followed three pedestrians, then attacked one of them, knocking him to the ground. The assailants fled empty-handed when they saw that police had been alerted. PATTERSON ST., 1-99 block, 1:30 a.m. June 6. A man robbed a male leaving a night club at gunpoint.


PERRY ST., 1200 block, 7:03 p.m. June 25. A man grabbed a pedestrian, demanded cash and told him he had a handgun. When the assailant was unable to produce a weapon, the pedestrian refused to cooperate and during an ensuing struggle was slight injured. The assailant fled empty-handed when a passer-by intervened. RAUM ST., 1100 block, 11:15 p.m. June 26. Two men attacked a pedestrian and robbed him of a wallet. The pedestrian was treated at a hospital RHODE ISLAND AVE., 700 block, 12:28 a.m. June 27. Three men attacked a man waling under a bridge and robbed him of property from his pockets. No serious injuries were reported. FOURTH ST., 1300 block, 9:05 a.m. June 24. A man robbed a bank after passing a note to a teller that said that he had a bomb. A man, 67, was arrested a short time later. 13TH AND H STREETS, 11:51 p.m. June 25. Two people snatched property from a person standing with two others on a street corner. 22ND ST., 2500 block, 12:55 a.m. June 27. A gunman robbed three people getting out of a vehicle, then fled on foot. 46TH ST. AND CENTRAL AVE., 9:07 p.m. June 23. Two people robbed a male of property a gunpoint. Two males, ages 13 and 14, were charged with armed robbery. THEFTS/BREAK-INS ASCOT PL., 200 block, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 24. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a back door. There was no sign of forced entry. BENNING RD., 4300 block, 6 to 7 p.m. June 28. Property was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a window. C ST., 1300 block, 7 to 7:35 a.m. June 26. Two laptop computers were stolen from a home entered by cutting a bathroom window screen. CAPITOL AVE., 1800 block, 2:10 a.m. June 25. A man forced his way into an acquaintance’s house, pushed her to the floor, and robbed her of a cellphone. He attacked her again, on the porch as he was leaving the home. CHILLUM PL., 6100 block, 8:49 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. June 24. Property was stolen from a business entered by force. EVARTS ST., 1-99 block, 12:30 p.m. June 26 to 11:30 a.m. June 27. An attempt was made to break into a residence by reaching through the mail slot to unlock the front door. An alarm was disconnected, but nothing was reported missing. FLORIDA AVE., 1000 block, 3 to 11:10 p.m. June 23. Property was stolen from a basement apartment


entered by prying iron bars from a window. A man was seen leaving the premises with the property. JACKSON ST., 1300 block, 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. June 24. Property was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked window. JUST ST., 4900 block, 7:30 to 9 p.m. June 28. Property was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked back door. Two mails were seen fleeing with the property. JUST ST., 5000 block, 11:30 a.m. to 3:14 p.m. June 28. Property was stolen from a residence entered by removing an air conditioner from a window. KENILWORTH AVE., 1500 block, 2:23 a.m. June 26. Two males forced their way into an occupied apartment, threatened a resident with a weapon, and searched the premises. No injuries were reported. Nothing was reported missing. MARYLAND AVE., 2000 block, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. June 26. Property was stolen from an apartment. There was no sign of forced entry. NANNIE HELEN BURROUGHS AVE., 5600 block, 2:50 to 4:50 p.m. June 28. Property was stolen from an occupied apartment. A male was seen fleeing with the property. OWEN PL., 1200 block, 1:30 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. June 27. Property was stolen from a residence entered by prying open the front door with a screwdriver. RIGGS RD., 1-99 block, 1:40 a.m. June 24. A break-in occurred at a school. Two males, ages 16 and 17, were arrested. FOURTH ST., 900 block, 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. June 24. Property was stolen from a shed at a residence. The shed and a toolbox had been entered by force. 17TH ST., 1200 block, 5:30 to 6 p.m. June 28. Property was stolen from a residence entered by prying open the back door and breaking a window. 51ST ST., 800 block, 11:25 p.m. June 23. Two men forced their way into an occupied residence at gunpoint, and fled with cash and keys to a gold-colored Lincoln. One intruder fled in that vehicle, while the other drove away in another vehicle. Two occupants were assaulted. No serious injuries were reported.

A man approached a female from behind and placed her in a chokehold, then took her keys from her purse and fled in her vehicle. EUCLID ST., 1700 block, 12:42 June 27. A male approached a female pedestrian from behind and snatched her cellphone, then tried to take her purse. As a struggle ensued, he continued tugging the purse, causing her to fall. He fled with two males. FLORIDA AND V STREETS, 9:30 to 9:50 p.m. June 26. A male youth and two younger girls approached a female pedestrian. The male grabbed her purse and told her he was armed with a knife. A struggle ensued, and the youth fled with the girls when he was unable to take the purse. A male, 15, and two females, 10 and 11, were arrested. GEORGIA AVE. AND NEWTON PL., 11:45 to 11:50 p.m. June 25. A male was assaulted and robbed by three men. GEORGIA AVE. AND LONGFELLOW ST., 4:15 to 4:20 a.m. June 27. A male pushed a female from behind, causing her to fall, and fled with her purse. GEORGIA AVE., 3300 block, 12:31 to 12:53 p.m. June 27. A female


allegedly assaulted an employee at a nail salon after she refused to refund her for services provided. The employee was pulled over a table, and cash was reportedly taken from her pocket. Another person was assaulted for trying to prevent the assailant from leaving. The assailant fled. HANOVER PL., 1-99 block, 4:50 to 4:51 p.m. June 29. A taxi driver picked up a male passenger at Union Station and drove him to a destination. He then placed an object to the driver’s head and demanded cash. The person fled from the cab after taking property. IST., 2200 block, 9:55 p.m. June 24. A man snatched a cellphone from a female pedestrian while she was using it. KENYON ST., 700 block, 7:15 to 7:18 p.m. June 16. A group of people approached a male while he was on a ladder, and one showed a knife and demanded his cellphone. He complied, and they fled. KENYON ST., 700 block, 7:35 p.m. June 26. A man showed a handgun to a male and demanded property. The male gave up a wallet, and the gunman walked away. A male was arrested. KENYON ST., 1000 block, 8:39 to 8:40 p.m. June 28. Three males approached a male pedestrian, and one asked for money. When the pedestrian refused, he was assaulted. A witness contacted police, and the robbers fled. M AND NORTH CAPITOL STREETS, 10:43 to 10:48 p.m. June 27. A double-decker tour bus was at a
