A man using a cellphone walked behind a female pedestrian. As she stepped aside to let him pass, he turned around, pushed her to the ground and fled with her purse. OAK ST., 1400 block, 3:40 a.m. June 26. A male pedestrian was assaulted and robbed by two people. OGDEN ST., 1500 block, 3:25 to 3:32 a.m. June 26. Two men with knives emerged from a van and approached a male pedestrian. They assaulted him, took his wallet and fled in the van. OTIS PL., 1400 block, 3 to 3:15 a.m. June 26. Two men assaulted and robbed a male pedestrian. PARK RD., 1900 block, 1:15 a.m. June 26. A man grabbed a female from behind, snatched her purse and fled. PENNSYLVANIA AVE., 2400 block, 2:30 to 2:35 a.m. June 29. A male passed a threatening note to an employee in a hotel or motel and demanded cash. The employee handed the note to another employee, who opened two cash drawers that were empty. The employee then gave up cash from his pocket. The robber fled. RHODE ISLAND AVE., 600 block, 6:40 to 6:45 p.m. June 26. A female met a man at a location to sell him a ring. She then let him into her vehicle so she could drive him to a bank, where he was to transfer money to her account. In the vehicle, he showed a knife and demanded the ring and the vehicle. She complied, and he fled in the vehicle.


SHERIER PL., 5300 block, 12:25 a.m. June 27. A man approached a female at the front door of a residence, showed a knife and grabbed her purse. He fled with another male. TUCKERMAN ST., 1200 block, 2:10 to 2:15 p.m. June 27. A man entered a restaurant and demanded money from an employee. The person complied, then was led at gunpoint to a safe. The gunman fled with a male after taking cash from the safe. UST., 1-99 block, 11:46 p.m. June 27. A gunman approached a male pedestrian from behind and ordered him to lie face down on the ground. He then took property from the pedestrian’s pockets and began to flee. The pedestrian tried to chase him, and the gunman turned around


and fired a bullet. The gunman fled on a bicycle. No injuries were reported. UST., 1100 block, 1:40 to 1:45 a.m. June 26. Two male youths snatched two cellphones from a table of a patio area of a restaurant. VERMONT AVE., 1000 block, 1:10 to 1:20 p.m. June 25. A male took property from a female’s bag leaning against a wall at a restaurant while she was eating lunch.


THIRD AND HAMILTON STREETS, 10:45 p.m. June 24. A man pulled a motorist from a vehicle at a traffic light and fled in the vehicle. SEVENTH ST., 5900 block, 12:28 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 27. A female noticed a group of males while walking to a store. One male then pushed her, showed a knife and took her purse. SEVENTH ST., 6300 block, 8:35 to 8:40 p.m. June 28. Two males on bicycles approached a female riding a moped and asked to ride the vehicle. When she refused, her bag was snatched from the back of the moped. NINTH ST., 1500 block, 7:41 p.m. June 25. A man told a female that he wanted to talk to her as she was getting out of her vehicle in a church parking lot. He then threatened her with a knife and took her vehicle and cash. 10TH AND H STREETS, 8:15 to 8:16 p.m. June 25. A male on a bicycle snatched a female pedestrian’s cellphone and fled. She chased him and notified police. An arrest was made. 10TH ST., 3600 block, 8 to 8:10 p.m. June 25. A male on a bicycle approached a female pedestrian from behind with a shirt covering his head. He then snatched property from her and fled. 11TH ST. AND PARK RD., 10 to 10:10 p.m. June 26. A man snatched a purse from a female and fled through an alley. 11TH ST. AND PARK RD., 8:45 to 8:50 p.m. June 28. A man tried to take a wallet from the pocket of a male pedestrian, then fled without it.


11TH ST., 2900 block, 2:15 a.m. June 24. Two male youths riding bicycles approached a male pedestrian and robbed him. 13TH AND T STREETS, 11:43 a.m. June 28. A man asked a female whether she had money. She said no and walked away. He then tried to take her bag. 14TH AND OAK STREETS, 2:37 to 2:50 p.m. June 27. A man with a knife approached a male while he was sitting on a park bench and assaulted him. An accomplice of the assailant tried to grab the male from behind, and when he tried to escape, cash was taken from his pocket. 14TH ST., 4500 block, 9:05 to 9:06 p.m. June 24. A female was looking inside her purse when a male youth approached from behind, pushed her to the ground and took the purse.


14TH ST., 4600 block, 11:47 p.m. June 27. A taxi driver took two men to a destination, and when they arrived he was asked to continue driving. The driver complied, and they then grabbed him from the back seat while making demands for property in Spanish. A struggle ensued, causing the driver to collide with an occupied parked truck. The driver escaped from the cab and told the truck occupant he was being threatened. The robbers fled from the cab, and the driver confronted them and was hit with a metal pipe. The assailants fled. 16TH ST., 2600 block, 2:45 a.m. June 27. A group of people assaulted four pedestrians. Property was taken from one of them. THEFTS/BREAK-INS ADAMS MILL RD., 1800 block, 2:45 to 2:50 a.m. June 27. Two men were seen entering a service station garage and leaving with tools. When confronted by an employee, they fled, leaving the tools behind. COLUMBIA RD., 500 block, 6:30 p.m. June 26 to 12:10 a.m. June 27. A female found the front and back doors of her residence open, and several rooms has been ransacked. CONNECTICUT AVE., 3200 block, 6 p.m. June 25. Property was stolen from an apartment. EMERSON ST., 700 block, 1 p.m. June 27. A man got out of a vehicle, approached a male who was sitting on a porch and asked for money. The resident offered to go inside to get cash, and the man tried to forcibly enter the home behind him. When the resident closed the door, the man threw a rock and kicked the door open. Another resident tried to prevent him from entering, and he demanded cash and threatened to shoot them. He fled when the resident threatened to call the police. FARRAGUT ST., 200 block, 6 p.m. June 25 to 1:30 p.m. June 26. Tools were stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a front door. KANSAS AVE., 5400 block, 2:30 p.m. to June 23 to 7 p.m. June 25. Copper piping was stolen from a residence entered by smashing a window of a door. LST., 2000 block, 2:40 to 2:45 p.m. June 24. A male allegedly took property from a lobby of an office building. MACOMB ST., 5100 block, 4 p.m. June 25 to 9 a.m. June 29. Copper downspouts were stolen from a religious institution. NST., 1700 block, 10 p.m. June 23 to 9 a.m. June 24. First-floor offices were burglarized. The area was entered through a rear door. NST., 1700 block, 6 p.m. June 24 to 7:30 a.m. June 25. Two laptop computers were stolen from an office building. A male armed with a metal pole attacked a male acquaintance and fled with his wallet. ALABAMA AVE., 2600 block, 2:30 a.m. June 29. Three males robbed a male of property at gunpoint. An arrest was made. ALABAMA AVE., 440 block, 12:55 a.m. June 24. A gunman robbed a pedestrian of his wallet. BECK ST., 4100 block, 11 p.m. June 25. Three men in an alley robbed a group of pedestrians at gunpoint, then fled the area in a red Intrepid. BRUCE PL., 1800 block, 3:15 a.m. June 27. Two men wearing masks robbed a pedestrian at gunpoint. FAIRLAWN AVE. AND K ST., 12:03 a.m. June 25. A man who had been picked up at Reagan National Airport robbed a taxi driver of cash and a cellphone. G ST., 4300 block, 8:35 p.m. June 25. A male youth pushed a male to the ground and fled with property. MASSACHUSEETS AVE., 3100 block, 1:30 p.m. June 28. A gunman demanded keys from a motorist walking toward his car. When the motorist refused, he was shot. The gunman fled empty-handed. No serious injuries were reported.

Two men followed a male from a liquor store to his residence, then robbed him of cash and property at gunpoint. PARK PL., 2300 block, 12:15 p.m. June 28. Two men attacked a pedestrian and robbed him of a wallet. R ST., 1700 block, 2:30 p.m. June 26. A gunman and an accomplice ordered a male from a bicycle. The accomplice rode away on the bicycle. SAVANNAH PL., 2000 block, 1:40 a.m. June 26. A man robbed a female of a purse at gunpoint. SUMNER RD., 1200 block, 4:55 p.m. June 26. A man snatched a cellphone from a female, who chased after him.
