Graves Leads Latest Group of Inductees By Steve Raczynski
Naomi Graves heads the list of new Springfield College inductees into the New England Basket- ball Hall of Fame. Graves, in her nineteenth year as head women’s basketball coach, and Pete Broaca, in his twelfth year as the No. 1 assistant to head men’s basketball coach Charlie Brock, were among those inducted in October. Samuel Headley, Ph.D., professor of exercise science and sport studies, has received a $228,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health to research whether exercise can decrease the odds of cardiovascular disease in patients with chronic kidney disease. Page 10
