STEVE SPAGNUOLO‘82 and PAUL FERRARO‘82 played Springfield College football together under Coach Howard Vandersea, Spagnuolo as a split end, and Ferraro as a strong safety. They are pictured below during the 1981 football season. Spagnuolo, the 25th head coach for the


Rams,was named the 1982 Male Scholar Athlete of the Year while at Springfield College. He received his bachelor’s in physical education from the College, and a master’s in sports management from the University of Massachusetts. His first professional football experience was in 1983 when he interned with the Washington Redskins. He most recently was defensive coordinator of the New York Giants. Ferraro, linebackers coach for the Rams,


earned All-New England honors as a senior at Springfield College. He earned a bache- lor’s degree in physical education from the College, and a master’s degree from Syracuse University in 1986. He most recently was special teams coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings.1
