PowerPlace “four times quicker” than extranets
R
esearch by PowerPlace, the online commercial insurance marketplace which distributes products electronically via OpenGI’s Open Trader platform, indicates that brokers using it can generate comparative quotes four times more quickly than using insurer extranets, giving them an extra 45 minutes every time they generate a quote. PowerPlace CEO Matthew Reed comments, “If a broker
generates four sets of quotes a day on PowerPlace as opposed to using extranets, they could save up to three hours a day. ....Using PowerPlace frees up a significant amount of time over the course of a year that firms can use to generate more new business, improve staff skills through additional training, or even get home a bit earlier to spend time with the kids!”
The research shows that
using PowerPlace means receiving quotes “at least 16 times more quickly”, and a further time saving is available from not having to re-key customer details for new business, MTAs or re-broked renewals.
Matthew Reed concludes,
“We know that the shift to transacting commercial business online is not going to happen overnight and represents a complete change for many businesses. The
