preset with engine data for most of today’s existing 2-stroke engines, weighs 3.6kg and is suitable for 2-stroke liners with a bore between 500 – 980 mm. Up to 12 measured diameters can be obtained on each level in the cylinder liner and the system’s accuracy is better than 0.03mm. Te system comprises the measuring unit and a wireless hand held terminal, through which data can be transmitted via a radiolink to an antenna inserted in the start air valve pocket. Te stored data can also be transferred to an Excel application in any PC by Bluetooth, USB or by SD-card.

stability soſtware, and Autoship particularly highlights its Auto-Ballast feature. Given one or more tanks and a targeted draſt, trim and heel, the Auto-Ballast function will automatically calculate tank fills for selected tanks to satisfy given targets.

coat The Danish coating manufacturer, Hempel, has launched a new product called Nexus X-Tend, which is designed to speed up and facilitate docking procedures for vessels with silicone-based fouling release coatings, such as Hempasil X3. According to Hempel, some shipowners feel that
docking procedures for fouling release vessels are difficult and expensive. Te company has sought to address this issue through the new Nexus X-Tend tie-coat, which has been formulated to increase the efficiency of mainte- nance and re-coating procedures when a fouling release vessel comes into drydock. Hempel believes that by speeding up the dry-docking process, Nexus X-Tend could save shipowners significant sums of money.
