NW Maritime Center and Wooden Boat Foundation Opening Day May 1

The Northwest Maritime Center

and Wooden Boat Foundation will be fully operational in time for this years’ Opening Day celebration May 1st. This marks the culmination of almost 12 years of visioning, brownfield clean-up, fundraising and, finally, construction of this beautiful new landmark on the shores of Port Townsend Bay. Home to a boat shop, ship’s chandlery, meeting facility, boathouse, classrooms and what will be a fully functioning Pilothouse, these structures will attract visitors by land and by sea. The Wooden Boat Chandlery and

Aldrich’s Galley will make their debut on May 1st when the Port Townsend Yacht Club hosts their Opening Day events. The public is invited to tour the boat shop, see what’s new at the Wooden Boat Chandlery and watch Opening Day activities. The fundraising is not quite done, please help contribute. And, come see for yourself. For more information please contact

the NW Maritime Center & Wooden Boat Foundation at (360) 385-3628, or visit the website: www.nwmaritime.org
