Nike

Brazil Home shirt

The Brazil home shirt can only come in golden yellow, and Nike has made the 2010 version from a lightweight, ‘Dri-Fit’ fabric designed to wick sweat away from the body. The fabric is made from thread spun from recycled plastic bottles, and it has been designed with a round- neck inspired by the shirts worn by the legendary 1970 World Cup winning side led by Pele. Five stars on the shirt are a reminder that Brazil is the only country to have claimed a quintet of World Cups.

Adidas

Jabulani

Said to be 20% more accurate than other footballs, the official World Cup ball from Adidas is made up of eight thermally bonded 3-D panels, and features new Grip ‘n Groove technology. The panels are spherically moulded and the integrated grooves are designed to make the ball extremely stable and precise. The dimpled surface is intended to

make the ball easier to grip and control. The Jabulani features 11 colours representing South Africa’s 11 tribes and languages.

Lotto

Zhero Gravity Ultra

As worn by Liverpool and England fullback Glen Johnson, the new Zhero Gravity Ultra is scheduled for retail delivery in May. The boot is fitted with a Reactive Arch, which is a flexible, concave sole

designed to move in unison with the transversal arch, to improve cushioning and reduce stress on the foot. A Twist ‘n Go rotating stud should enable players to quicken their change of direction, reduce the risk of injury and maintain better balance during rotation.
