New era for Royal Garden
The Royal Garden is delighted to unveil the next phase of its multi-million pound refurbishment programme with this exclusive Executive PA reader event
Having already completed several major changes, 2010 heralds yet another excit- ing year for Kensington’s most revered hotel. The Royal Garden hotel lobby was completely modernised in January 2010, ensuring guests receive a memorable welcome upon arrival, and the adjacent Park Terrace – the hotel’s main restau- rant and bar has just reopened. Benefiting from a window-lined wall, the restau- rant’s changes will draw upon the optimum location which offers seamless views of the Park beyond. Here chic seating, a central bar and updated menu will all help create a destination venue in chime with the Royal Garden’s updated image. Also newly refurbished are the hotel’s conferencing and banqueting
rooms. Continuing to provide the highest benchmark when it comes to offering its guests the very best in quality service and comfort, the hotel’s 10 private function rooms offer state-of-the-art facilities from high end tech- nology specifications to impeccable catering. The four boardrooms them- selves offer quiet purpose-built spaces decorated in contemporary neutral tones, wireless internet facilities and flat screen televisions. October 2009 saw the relaunch of the hotel’s grand Palace Suite, which caters for up to 550 guests and is perfect for large conferences, reception and cocktail parties or weddings. Tastefully decorated in neutral, brown and cherry tones to complement the room’s original cherry wood pillars, the suite also features timber clad walls, bronze mirrors around the thresh- olds and a sleek black granite bar in the adjacent pre-function area. Entire- ly ‘cable-free’, the Palace Suite has extensive power and data capabilities complemented by hidden ceiling space to run wiring and audio/visual cabling to reduce clutter and create a streamlined look and feel.
This all punctuates 18 months of exciting change for The Royal Garden. Summer 2008 saw the opening of Min Jiang, the critically acclaimed Chinese restaurant located on the 10 floor. Alongside Min Jiang came the refurbish- ment of 70 rooms, transformed into Garden Rooms and luxury suites. Inspired by The Royal Garden’s exceptional location all the rooms and suites offer outstanding views of Kensington Gardens.
