And he adds: “We also needed a highly flexible so- lution that could be readily adapted to new applica- tions in the materials sciences and life sciences, and for small-batch manufacturing of nanodevices. We achieved this high degree of flexibility by building the NanoBot™‘s controller and application software using LabVIEW™ virtual interface modules and by adopting a simple, robust hardware architecture that can accommodate a variety of application-specific end effectors.”
The NanoBot™ is really impressive. The tool is desi- gned for use inside a scanning electron microscope
(SEM) or focused ion beam (FIB) tool. The two han- ded NanoBot™ NX-2000 can be controlled using the same desktop module by switching between right- and left-handed control. The product‘s compact overall size enables use in a wide range of SEMs and FIBs, including older model tools with smaller sample chambers. It is possible to drive the NanoBot™ up to 15mm in long range mode or park it and drive it up to ± 3.5μm with 1nm resolution in fine-range.
We asked the CEO of Xidex on recent business high- lights and he emphasizes NanoBioSystems, Inc. as a manufacturer‘s representative and the value of the
