first NanoBots™. Dr. Paul F. McClure: “Visitors who saw the first NanoBots™ at work in Xidex‘s Austin facility immediately recognized their value and encouraged us to build a commercial version of the tool. The first commercial units were sold in 2009. Xidex has now appointed NanoBioSystems, Inc. as a manufacturer‘s representative so we can get the word out to more scientists and nanotechnologists who need to put a NanoBot™ to work probing and manipulating micro- and nano-scale objects in their own SEMs and FIB tools.”

For the CEO and his team, the current No. 1 busi- ness priority is to continue growing the NanoBot™ business. And the next milestones are to introduce specialized end effectors for in-situ nanomaterial testing and gas injection for etching and deposition inside SEMs and FIB tools.
