The Vegas show, such a monster in previous years, was a changed beast
for 2009, says Casino International

ttendance felt down for G2E this year,
judging simply with the naked eye – that
said, it has been reported post-show that
attendance was actually up on last year’s

This was still a good exhibition, with strong
product and good quality visitors. Exhibitor numbers
had also notably declined; the knock-on effect of this
was some bigger stands for the companies who did
exhibit, and a dampening of the atmosphere overall.
The show’s floorspace was approximately 25 per cent
smaller than previous years, which isn’t necessarily a
bad thing. Exhibitions that grow too large can simply largely new and exciting developments, innovations
