After the pinup girls are printed out, they
are peeled and placed on an aluminum
sign blank where they can be cut out. Af-
ter placing the images on the aluminum
sign blank, the whole image is then cut out
and peeled. Notice that the angle of the
x-acto blade allows for an easy clean cut
around corners and edges.
I take the positive image and position it in
the correct place.
After the positive image is laid down, the
outside is laid in place around it.
The inside is then removed and placed back onto the aluminum sign blank. I can now start to cut the details out.I fill the inside
with medium wet coats of white paint and lightly tape touch around the edges to avoid a heavy build up.
I put the pin up girl back in place and remove the pieces where the flesh tones will be airbrushed, leaving positives of the eyes, lips,
dress, etc.
