Christmas Candlelight Service
A
unique and magical celebra-
tion of light takes place at
The New River Valley Metaphysi-
cal Chapel at 7:30 p.m., Sunday,
December 20. This second annual
Christmas Candlelight Service,
open to all, features Christmas
music, heartfelt messages and an outer and inner expression of the “light of the
world,” intended to lift participants above the excitement and busyness of the holi-
day season and into the transcendent atmosphere of hope, love, joy and peace.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the lighting of candles
symbolizing peace on Earth and the Christ Consciousness within each of us. All
who attend will receive a special blessing.
The service takes place at USW Union Hall, 1410 W. Main Street, in Radford. For

Foundation is holding its annual Gingerbread
Festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., December 5, at
Longwood Park. A fun event for kids of all ages, the
festival features a Gingerbread House Competition
