WEBB ELLIS
Webb Ellis ask the tough question: do you have the balls to last the season? Rugby clubs are continuously searching for the best balls around in the
knowledge that the tools of the trade are paramount to success, but how do retailers also find new ways to excite side-line supporters? With Webb
Ellis, the needs of all those involved with the game are met with a range of match and souvenir balls, at the cutting-edge of product design and style.
Since its inception, Webb Ellis has earned a reputation for supplying the most technologically advanced balls and equipment
around the world, a feat which was recognized by the Welsh Rugby Union and leading Welsh players, when they
elected to play with the Webb Ellis ball at home internationals.
By understanding the values of the game, Webb Ellis is helping its development into the future, as proven by
the 2009/10 Webb Ellis product range, which not only provides unique supporter products at key price points,
but also strives to make elite-level match balls accessible to players at all levels.
More competitively-priced replica balls? Get away!
The relationship between Webb Ellis and the Welsh Rugby Union began in 2006 but truly blossomed in 2008 when
Wales lifted the Six Nations crown and won a grand-slam.
All retailers understand the importance of offering replica products for fans to purchase as souvenirs, but with a retail price of around £20, the
traditional replica can be out of reach for younger fans of the game.
Now Webb Ellis is proud to introduce the Official Wales Away Ball – a world first and a unique product, with that all-important key retail price point
positioned at only £13.99 for sizes 5, 4 and 3. Midi and mini versions are also available.
With eye-catching fluoro graphics, the Official Wales Away Ball is designed to match the Wales away match jersey which reflects the original colour
of the St. David’s flag – a true momento of Welsh heritage.
With a revamped and enhanced rubber compound and improved all-round grip from the new pimple configuration, the Official Wales Away Ball is
also perfect for training, especially given that the hi-vis graphics work fantastically under floodlights.
Fully endorsed by the Welsh Rugby Union, the Official Wales Away Ball is an essential stock item for all retailers in preparation for the forthcoming
Autumn Internationals and Six Nations Championships.
Match up to the pros
A new addition to the Webb Ellis match ball range for 2009/10, the AWTP V Ball is the top quality ball for elite-level play.
Using the same technology as the ball chosen by the Welsh Rugby Union for their home matches at the Millennium Stadium, the ball uses a refined
synthetic latex compound, developed by RAPRA using skills learned on Formula 1tyres, for the ultimate wet weather grip, guaranteeing perfect
handling in all conditions.
Through the use of 3d modelling, the Photonics Cluster2 aerodynamic pimple configuration ensures pinpoint accuracy and longer distance on
kicks, whilst the refined configuration also offers improved handling in the wet as the grip cuts through standing water on the surface.
Available in navy/sky colourway and in sizes 5 and 4, the AWTP V retails at £75.00.
Complete the Webb Ellis range
From its home opposite Rugby School, 100 yards from where the game was invented and where the very first rugby footballs were made in 1842,
Webb Ellis has created a complete range of rugby products for retailers to offer to fans and players alike. Whether the desire is for match, training or
supporter products, teamwear or stylish and advanced apparel, training aids or accessories, Webb Ellis can provide the solution.
