Taking Responsibility My favorite thing about Eastern is
the availability of the faculty and staff. They are always here to help you
when you need it. The professors are readily available via e-mail, office
hours or staying after class to answer questions. They don’t hold your
hand, but they are there to guide you to take on the responsibility of
turning in those papers and getting the work done.
Something For Everyone
What surprised me most about Eastern was the availability of extracurric-
ular activities on campus. And all of the clubs are run by the students. It’s
easy to figure out what you like to do, and then you can find others who
like the same things. Get to know your surroundings — don’t stay in your
room. Go out and attend campus events and get involved. There is literally
something for everyone.
