Research Opportunities For Undergraduates

When I visited Eastern, I talked to Professor Mike Adams and we discussed internships and
the availability of hands-on research opportunities as an undergraduate. It is rare to be able
to have an undergraduate research experience. That is what corporations and pharmaceuti-
cal companies want — it is a requirement. I have been lucky to have that experience here
at Eastern. I know it will open doors for me.
The Center Of Campus Life
My favorite thing about campus is that it is small enough that everything is within walking
distance. I love living in the residence hall and being close to friends. You can just knock on a
door, hang out and eat dinner together.
A Door To The Future
My favorite class is Research Methods in Molecular Biology with Professor Adams. He teach-
es techniques and methods but we have to come up with our own protocol. This hands-on
experience in a laboratory will help us when we graduate.
