My Home Away From Home I visited another college campus before I came to Eastern,
and there was just such a difference. It is more ‘homey’ here – everyone gets along with each other. Eastern is
like a big family, and it just felt right to be here. I still feel the same way.
It Helps To Have Options
While I originally thought I should attend an art college, I felt that by attending a
public liberal arts university I would become a more well-rounded person. I really
believe that. You never know exactly what you are going to do in life, and it always
helps to have options.
Friends Right From The Start
I live three hours away, so I knew I wasn’t going to be home every weekend. They say
you meet your lifelong friends in college, and I definitely feel like I have done that. I
joined Eastern’s Facebook group for the class of 2012 before I even got here – at that
point there were five members. By the summer before my freshman year there were
