OneofBelchamber’sprojectshasbeencentraliseddecisioningand
campaignoptimisation.Historically,thecompanyhadcampaigndeliverysplit
betweeninboundandoutboundchannels.Theprojectbuiltatechnical
environmenttoconsolidatealltherequiredcustomerdataintoasinglearea,
deliveringacentraliseddecisioningprocessthatgeneratesaprioritised,“next
bestoffer”listforeachcustomer.
Johnalsobroughtinnewtheoriesfromtheacademicworldaroundvirality
tocreateapredictivemodelforcontagiouschurn.Previousdefectionmodels
werebuiltaroundindividualcustomersandusedtransactionaltriggersand
proxiestopredictchurn.Thenewmodelwasabletopredictdefectiontriggers
outsideofchangesinusage,forexampleafriendleavingO2.Over5percent
ofcustomersinthetopquintileforchurnpressurewerefoundtochurnwithin
90daysofafriendwithinacommunityleaving.
TosupportthelaunchofthenewfamilyJoggler,Johnalsodevelopedanewway
toidentifyfamilygroupswithinthecustomerbase.Forthefirsttime,thisallowed
thecompanytotargetanoffertothefamilyasaunit,ratherthanasindividuals.
