When Stika has completed cutting your design turn it off and re-
move the paint mask. At this point you can weed the letters out
of the paint mask or just apply your transfer tape. Here I have
chosen to weed the letters out as you can see, with the letters
removed apply transfer tape and remove the backing from the
paint mask.
Apply the paint mask to the surface you are painting, burnish it
down gently and remove the transfer tape, you are now ready
to airbrush some color into your lettering. To control over spray
add some tape around the lettering.
There you have our finished lettering nice and sharp, on a hard
surface (panel art, helmet, tank, fenders) this is the best way
to go about rendering professional looking lettering. I hope you
found this over view of the Roland Stika helpful and it provided
those thinking about buy a small vinyl cutter some insight as to
just how easy the Roland Stika is to use.
