Now that I have a nice clean surface I start the process but this time I’m
doing this portrait a little different than I normally do, freehand with no
net. This time I’m taking a page out of Mr. Luc Boivin’s book. I take the
actual reference picture, blow it up to the size I need, cut out all the face
lines, eyes, nose and glasses to assure that everything is lined up prop-
erly. Next I just blow in a little white to get the guidelines to show up and
now I’m off to the races. This saved me tons of time rather than eyeball-
ing it freehand. I only had the night before the concert to get this done and
done right so this worked out really well for me...thanks Luc!
