As a growing designer, I’ve finally realized that my greatest passion is to combine the interdisciplinary areas
of design and medicine to improve everyday experiences. I’m inspired by people and the potential of an
improved quality of healthcare, which ultimately will improve the quality of life.
VTech MIA
MIA is a Medical Intelligence Agent that can be incorporated into the home of
the baby boomer who needs assistance in keeping track of and caring for their
parents. It learns patterns in user behavior and adapts to situations with helpful
requests and responses. MIA has voice recognition in all progeny devices, and fea-
tures a prompt lifeline service using GPS and deceleration sensors.
