Facing the challenges
Managing costs, particularly staff costs, has proved
challenging. Demand for our services has increased as
referrals have risen and we have also struggled to fill
some nursing and midwifery posts.
Increasing referrals and delivering the required waiting
time targets placed significant pressure on our
operating capacity. The goodwill and co-operation of
our staff allowed us to put on extra clinics and
operating lists to cope with the additional workload.
