Chairman’s Report
I am delighted to report that Basingstoke and North Hampshire NHS Foundation
Trust (the Foundation Trust) has continued to deliver the highest possible
performance and care for our patients during 2008/09. Our achievements are a
true reflection of the excellent staff who work for us.
In October 2008 the Foundation Trust achieved
the highest possible ratings of excellent for
‘quality of services’ and excellent for ‘use of
resources’, in the third annual health check
published by the Healthcare Commission.
The Foundation Trust is one of only 12
trusts to have achieved double
excellent two years in a row.
Our Council of Governors has been in
place since we became a Foundation
Trust in December 2006 and is very
supportive of our work to improve
patient care.
We are committed to further
developing the Foundation Trust to
continue to provide excellent healthcare
for our local community and those who
choose to use our services.
