BPA Baby & Child now open for visitor registrations
Registrations for the UK’s premier nursery trade event – BPA Baby & Child – is now live on the website at
www.babyandchildfair.co.uk. The show, which has
exhibitors from all sectors of the nursery industry, is to take place at London’s Excel Centre on the 11th, 12th and 13th October and provides a wealth of
new business opportunities, valuable networking channels and professional industry related business forums.
2009 exhibitors include Silver Cross, Britax and Chicco amongst other household names, while The Launchpad, celebrating its 5th anniversary, offers
retailers the opportunity to seek out new, innovative and exciting products. The combination of large, small and brand new is said to be unique to this
show, as the BPA works hard to promote innovation in the industry.
It is a great place to do business, but it is more than just a trade show. With the Launchpad, Eco Zone, seminars, product demonstrations, retailer and
product awards night, it is simply an industry experience that retailers should not miss, said organisers.
BPA Baby & Child is organised by the Baby Products Association which invests revenue generated from the show
into work carried out by the association which directly contributes to the wellbeing of the industry, making this the
only event run by the industry for the industry. Prospective exhibitors should email Sarah Firth, Event Organiser at
sarah@babyandchildfair.co.uk or call 0845 456 9570.
In other news, the BPA is delighted to announce the appointment of Christel Davidson as its new Marketing
Executive; a candidate who brings a wealth of experience from both inside the nursery industry and further afield.
Christel is no stranger to the nursery market as her latest position was as the Business Development Manager of
Mother & Baby, Pregnancy & Birth magazines and
Askamum.co.uk. Christel will be communicating directly with
members, promoting the association and the BPA Baby & Child show to prospective exhibitors and visitors.
Speaking of Christel’s appointment, Peter White, Chief Executive, of the BPA said: “Christel’s experience lies
primarily with advertising and publications, but she has demonstrated in past posts an adept ability to produce
effective marketing strategies. This will be key to her role with the BPA while her superior communication skills and
past success will be an asset to the team - we welcome her on board!”
Christel, a native Australian, graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2002 where she gained a
degree in Media and Communications and a postgraduate in Commerce. Speaking of her appointment, she said:
“I’m delighted to join the close knit team that forms the BPA, working directly with members and raising the
profile of the association. I’m confident my experience in the industry and management of the Mother & Baby
Awards will enable me to be successful with the various aspects of the role.”
