Lagoon 400
We have mentioned the Lagoon 400 several
times since this new yacht was announced
by Lagoon in December. Designed to fit
between the hugely popular 380 and the
much improved Lagoon 421 the 400 marks
a subtle change is design philosophy for
Lagoon.
he 400 seeks to

bring a better
balance between
interior volume
and performance whilst still
ensuring a high level of interior
comfort and facilities. In this
they are trying to reach back
to the philosophy of the 410
which seemed to get this
about right.
So the Lagoon 400 will have better sailing performance than
the 420 but share many of the developments seen in the 421
that we have tested elsewhere in this issue. On deck she is
easy to move around, access in and out of the water through
the stern steps is easier, there is great communication
between the galley and the saloon and, like the 421 all
controls are brought back to the helm station which is sited
to port.
Overall the Lagoon 400 looks an interesting package and we
will be delighted to test her in the next couple of months and
will report our findings here.
