Carpet is more comfortable for walking and sitting. Nothing beats
carpet when it comes to providing young students with a soft,
comfortable space to lounge and study in. It’s almost difficult to
imagine a primary school class without carpet for play, music,
games, learning and rest time. Carpet is also great for older
students who prefer to brainstorm comfortably on the floor or
just chill out. For teachers, carpet is a plus because standing
and working on carpet reduce fatigue, compared with hard
surface flooring. So they have more energy to devote to students.
In addition, carpet has anti-static features, which makes it ideal
for use in computer labs and information technology rooms.
Carpet is safer, with fewer slips and falls and
less chance for injury. Slipping, sliding and
tumbling are all painful accidents but on hard
flooring, they become dangerous. And in wet
weather conditions, hard surface flooring is a
liability. The lack of glare from carpet is also
a boon for students rushing to get to their
classes on time.
