Sniffles, sneezes and itchy eyes shouldn’t stand in
the way of good grades. But they can happen and
do. This is mostly due to poor indoor air quality
and pollution, commonly known as “sick building
syndrome”.
A major contributor to this syndrome is Volatile
Organic Compounds or VOCs, found in items such as
office equipment, furnishings and cleaning agents.
VOCs are released in the form of harmful gases,
usually at room temperature, and these affect health
– from causing allergies to more serious problems
such as damage to the kidneys, liver, and the central
nervous system.

test. Our carpets work hard to diligently filter air,
trapping dust particles deep in the carpet and below
the breathing zone, which are then easily removed
by vacuuming. Our products also meet the
recognised testing protocols relating to VOC

State of Washington Protocol.

Our carpets put germs under the microscope. With
Intersept®, an antimicrobial preservative in the
backing, mould, mildew, bacteria and odour-causing
organisms don’t stand a chance. It’s also water-
insoluble, and doesn’t wash off easily. So you can
