HOLE PAR SCORE
How to play a round of golf
Each pupil will need a score card and a piece of A4 paper.

The ‘par’ score for each hole is the number of answers the
pupils need to provide for each hole e.g. Hole 1 is a par 4 so the

The hole is ‘complete’ and the ball in the hole after a set period
of time and if 4 correct answers are written on the pupil’s

piece of paper they have ‘made par’ and score 0.

If the pupil gets an ‘extra’ answer then they get a birdie (so by
naming 5 methods of training they would score -1 (birdie). So

on the first hole by naming 7 methods of training a pupil could

score a ‘hole in one’ -3. Remember in Golf a low score is good!

By only naming 3 methods of training the pupil would have

scored a bogey and get a score of +1.
16 3 You can handicap the competition by allowing some pupils

access to their book/text book.

Once all pupils in the class have ‘completed’ the hole the
teacher will read out the correct answers.
SCORE
The champion is the person who can ‘shoot’ the lowest round.
