About Sharron
Sharron Davies MBE is still a household name more than 30 years after first
representing GB in the swimming pool and she remains one of the best known
women's names in British sport.
She became an Olympian as a 13-year-old and achieved medals in all major
championships including Olympic silver (she was pipped to gold by an East
German later proved to be on steroids) and has over 200 records to her name.
She started to carve a media career early on as an 18-year-old and has gone
on to work for the BBC at six Olympics so far.
She is involved with a number of charities and worked with Princess Diana to
raise millions of pounds through the Swim For Life charity.
Sharron remains busy with her media work and personal appearances. She
has also established a successful motivational speaking career and assembled
a stable of extraordinary people and fascinating speakers. Sharron is also
