here we are on the driving range at Villaitana Golf with John h. John had a
problem with a loss of distance and all his shots were flying straight right. in
his lesson we videoed his swing and came to the conclusion he was opening
the face too much on the way back and not squaring it on the way back to
impact and separation. here i am seen showing John the positions we want on
the backswing.
here John is seen showing a vast improvement on his previous backswing.
at the end of this lesson John was hitting the ball flush and getting more
distance and straighter shots than he had hit in about 3 years.
Once again we are on the driving range at Villaitana Golf. this time we are with
mike who started lessons in November playing off a handicap of 23.
when mike started his lessons with me he was hitting a very weak slice (left to
right shot for left handed golfers, opposite for right handed). this was costing
him a loss of distance of more than 20 meters with his tee shots. mike's
biggest problem was his alignment, everything pointed right of his target to
allow for his slice. with a little perseverance and continuous checks mike now
aligns all essential parts where he should.
here all three essential parts are aligned square. mike has now reduced his
handicap to 16 and will continue to reduce it further with more lessons and a
little practice.
