Coming in
March
H
ope abounds! 2009 is in full swing and
good things are happening everywhere.
We have a brand new president who has
already started upon his mission of bringing posi-
tive change to our country, our economy and our
environment.
This, of course, can't help but impact Michigan,
where our own political leaders seem to have em-
braced some of the same ideas and commitments.
One good example is the passing of Michigan's
Renewable Energy Standards act. And Governor
Granholm also recently announced 20 new projects that will receive state incen-
tives in an effort to create and retain over 7,000 new jobs, generating 2.3 billion
dollars in new investment. These are just a couple of the larger-scale initiatives,
but the most important projects are those being taken on by local businesses,
schools and people to "green" our economy. Even the North American Internation-
al Auto Show, held this past month, was on-board; focusing on fuel economy and
environmentally friendly cars.
We really believe the key to turning this country around lies in embracing
the healthy planet movement in every way possible–by everyone. The continued
progress toward more fuel-effi cient cars, green energy and overall "friendliness" to
the environment is something that will reward everyone–in many ways.
OK, so the country is on a path toward positive change, but how about you?
We know, typically, January is the month for planning lifestyle changes. And
Caring for
we all know those good intentions often fall victim to the loss of motivation. Or
worse, our old habits creep back and take control again. In step with all that, this
month's issue contains tips everyone can use to bring about positive change in

big rewards.
