METALCASTING SUPPLIES Corded, Cordless Grinders

Programmable Automatic High-Speed Circular Saw for Straight Cutting Non-Ferrous Metals

Robert Bosch Tool Corporation (Mt. Prospect, Illinois) has released a series of corded and cordless angle grind- ers. T ey are built for durability and ergonomic design, including a re-en- gineering of paddle-grip switches. T e grinders have new motors, extending from 10- and 13-amp models to 18V that more amperage than their pre- decessors for faster work and greater productivity. T e longer multi-grip paddle switches allow users to grip the grinders in virtually any position along the ergonomic barrel. Visit www.boschtools.com for more information.

Kalamazoo Machine Tool (Portage, Michigan) has introduced the model CT 350 A-NC/NM programmable automatic high-speed circular saw. T e new KMT model CT350A-NC-NM is a programmable automatic high-speed non-ferrous circular saw in a non-mitering version of the com- pany’s model CT350A-NC saw. It is fi tted with a bar feeder providing fast cycles, and can feed the material much closer to the clamping vise, provid- ing a very short remnant end of 2 inches or less. T e saw features an improved chip vacuum system, with an additional suction port for greater chip removal. Visit www.kmtsaw.com for more information

Analyzer for Alloys

T ermoFisher Scientifi c (Waltham, Massachusetts) has introduced the Niton XL5 Analyzer. It off ers speed and accuracy for metal recyclers, fabricators and PMI inspectors who must accurately and quickly determine alloy composi- tion and grade. T e XL5 analyzer features a compact design and advanced electronics that allow the x-ray source and fl uorescence detector to be closer to the sample, improv- ing limits of detection and shortening measurement time, especially for light elements.
