Tomas K. McCluhan died August 23, 2016. He was 82 and living in Ohio Township, Pennsylvania. McCluhan was the retired director of development for Elkem Metals Com- pany and was responsible for the development of specialty alloys for gray and ductile iron. McCluhan joined Union Car- bide’s metalcasting research and development team at Niagara Falls, New York, in 1956. When Elkem bought the business in 1981, McCluhan continued to manage the research and

named Corine Pettit their development engineer. She will be leading development and new material qualifica- tion projects.

Kansas. He was 41. Farrar was a member of AFS and in 2012 started his own sales company, Casting Ventures LLC. Prior to 2012, he was the chief operating officer of Farrar Corporation (Manhattan, Kansas).
