ROADMAP 2021/22

sensors are intended for matt and shiny surfaces respectively. Te 3D snapshots are recorded in a short time and provide detailed 3D point clouds. SurfaceControl sensors are used for 3D

measurements and surface inspections. Te sensors use fringe projection and two cameras all in one housing to inspect diffuse reflecting surfaces. Te point cloud generated is evaluated in order to recognise geometry, extremely small defects and discontinuities on the surface. ReflectControl is designed for defect

Teledyne Imaging will focus on its latest imagers, including its Z-Trak2 family of 3D laser profilers, 5GigE 3D profile sensors for high-speed, in-line 3D applications. Models deliver scan speeds of up to 45,000 profiles per second and feature built-in HDR and reflection compensation algorithms to handle surfaces with varying degrees of reflectivity in a single scan. Offering 2k points per profile, all Z-Trak2

models are factory calibrated and offered with either blue or red eye-safe lasers to suit various surface properties and operating environments. All sensors are housed in IP67 enclosures for harsh environments and come bundled free with Teledyne Imaging’s Sherlock 8.1 software package, Sapera Processing RTLs and Sapera LT SDK. Other new cameras from Teledyne

Imaging include Falcon4-CLHS models, the latest of which delivers 11.2-megapixel resolution with a pixel width of 6µm and a frame rate of up to 609fps, and Linea Lite line scan cameras. Linea Lite models are offered in 2k to 4k resolution, line rates from 12.5 to 50kHz, and a GigE Vision interface. www.teledynedalsa.com

Over the coming year, Micro-Epsilon will develop its range of 3D sensors for measuring and assessing components and surfaces. Tese sensors are used for both inline and offline inspection. Te SurfaceControl and ReflectControl

detection on highly polished or mirrored surfaces. Based on deflectometry, the system projects a striped pattern onto the measurement object. Defects on the surface cause deviations from this pattern which are recorded by cameras and evaluated by software. www.micro-epsilon.co.uk

Matrix Vision will add 12.4-, 8.1- and 5.1-megapixel sensors of Sony’s Pregius S Gen4 series to its 10GigE camera series MvBlueCougar-XT. Te special features of the cameras include a net data rate of 1,245 MB/s, as well as a robust housing with protection class IP67. Te USB3 camera series MvBlueFox3-2 and 3-5M, as well as the GigE camera series MvBlueCougar-X and -XD, will also be equipped with Sony’s new sensors. Samples are already available. In addition, the recently released 3D

camera product range, Rc_Visard, is to be developed further. Additional software modules for simple operation and other accessories are in the pipeline. Te product range for embedded

vision is also being developed through the MvBlueNaos. Te product line has a PCI Express interface for direct access to memory and the processor for high data transfer rates. www.matrix-vision.com

Basler plans to broaden its offerings with vision components such as new cameras, light modules, lenses, cables, PC cards, and frame grabbers. Te company’s products and solutions are used in various applications in factory automation, medical and life sciences, logistics, robotics, retail and traffic and transportation. Recent additions to the portfolio include

the Basler Boost CXP cameras with 20, 32, and 45-megapixel resolution, and an embedded processing kit that is optimised for flexible use in vision applications. Te company continuously explores

the possibilities of new and maturing technologies such as embedded vision, 3D and AI, as well as powerful and cost- effective interface options with the aim of providing customers with more efficient vision solutions. Basler is also enhancing its online tools on

its website. Tese tools, such as the Vision System Configurator or the Application Advisor, help to combine suitable and compatible components, and therefore
