Illumination

Basler Camera Light series Basler has joined forces with lighting experts at CCS to design a vision lighting portfolio: the Basler Camera Light series. Te lights match Basler’s Ace U and Ace L

camera models, are easy to install, and have been carefully selected for vision systems of

Cobra MultiSpec LED line lights ProPhotonix has added two standard configurations to its Cobra MultiSpec LED line light; RGB-IR (855nm) and RGB-White multispectral lights. Cobra MultiSpec delivers multispectral tunable illumination, allowing users to optimise the spectrum to maximise contrast, compensate

Image sensors

Gsprint4521 sensor Gpixel has released a global shutter sensor, Gsprint4521, the first in a new family of products targeting high-speed applications. Gsprint4521 is a 21-megapixel (5,120 x 4,096

pixel) APS-C sized (29.5mm) high-speed image sensor, designed with a 4.5μm charge domain global shutter pixel. It achieves 35ke- full well capacity and 3e- rms read noise, resulting in

an intra-scene dynamic range of 69dB in single gain operation, and 81dB in dual gain HDR. Te sensor will be offered in different speed

variants. Te full speed version of the sensor consists of 160 pairs of sub-LVDS channels running at 1.2Gb/s each, which delivers 1,000fps at full resolution in 8-bit mode; 500fps in 10-bit mode; and 250fps in 12-bit mode in single gain operation.

32 IMAGING AND MACHINE VISION EUROPE OCTOBER/NOVEMBER 2020 ROI and on-chip binning modes can be

used to increase the frame rates. Lower frame rates are enabled by multiplexing to a reduced number of output channels. A reduced speed version, optimised for 50Gb/s camera interfaces, will also be available. It is packaged in a 454-pin uPGA ceramic package, and will be available in monochrome and colour. www.gpixel.com

varying complexity. A selection of standard lighting is offered in the series, which in many cases helps avoid time-consuming self-build lighting, or reduce integration complexity. Te Basler SLP feature makes it easy for

the user to control both the camera and the lighting using the Basler Pylon camera software

for camera sensitivity and deliver clearer, higher resolution images for increased accuracy and speed. Discrete control of each

wavelength allows users to select the optimum wavelength balancing and relative intensities specific to their application needs. For high-speed image

acquisition, the platform’s strobe capability can be configured to

pulse all four strobe lines either simultaneously or sequentially, with a combined delay and response time of less than 1μs.

suite. Synchronisation between the camera and lighting is carried out automatically, which saves time during initial operation. With the Basler SLP feature, strobing and overdrive functions are accessible and can be used by less experienced users. www.baslerweb.com

Te two new lights are now

available as standard, offering ideal solutions for a wide variety of multispectral and hyperspectral imaging applications, including food sorting and currency inspection. Custom lights can be developed in configurations of up to 12 wavelengths, from 365nm to 1,650nm. www.prophotonix.com
