Established in 1979, Kiernan Milling is a family owned and run multi species feed mill based in the Granard, County Longford. In the early days the mill produced only pig feed but with investment the company diversified into the poultry market in the 1990s. In 2007, the company acquired Stewarts Animal Feed, a ruminant brand which was based in County Roscommon. In the Autumn of 2013, the business integrated this ruminant tonnage into the mill in Granard.

As the business grew the company commenced work on designing

and building a state-of-the-art mill which would be located on the same site as the existing mill. “Last Spring, was a proud moment for all the stakeholders connected to Kiernan Milling, as the first loads of finished feed left our new mill,” says Mark Kiernan, Managing Director and Chairman of Kiernan Milling. “It was the result of a lot of hard work from all our staff and indeed our contractors.” As a result of this latest investment Kiernan Milling is now in a position to produce in excess of 500,000 tonnes of animal feed annually. Over the past 40 years, the staff in Kiernan Milling has built and

maintained a reputation for producing quality animal feeds. This has been achieved through using the latest nutritional research, using only quality raw materials and adopting the most innovative milling processes.

CFE works in partnership alongside Kiernan Milling providing contract service and maintenance of equipment and as sales and servicing agent for CPM equipment.
