ADVERTORIAL
GRAND DESIGNS G
illian Weir specialise in the very special. They supply the finest tableware, linens and accessories
to the world’s most luxurious superyachts, homes and aircraft. With over 20 years in the industry, their experience in creating beautiful accessories to complement the most elegant interiors is second to none. We look at the benefits of working with a specialist interior supply company from the beginning of the design process.
Extra Special Requirements Each and every superyacht is unique, with its own very special requirements throughout, from how it looks to how it will be used once at sea. Involvement in the early stages of a project enables the team at Gillian Weir to gain a real understanding of these priorities and share the full benefit of their experience. For example, a superyacht intended for charter will need interior accessories which work as hard as its chief stewardess at the height of the season, versus a family owned superyacht which might need extra special touches for its youngest VIP guests. Knowledge and adaptability is key every step of the way.
A Personal Touch One owner might focus on the perfect hand picked finishing touches for the saloon bar, perhaps the finest crystal cocktail glasses
The benefits of working with a specialist interior supply company at the drawing board phase cannot be underestimated
and softest cashmere throws, whilst for another client the most luxurious eiderdown quilts are a must-have. The team at Gillian Weir pride themselves on their unparalleled knowledge and very best service. Selecting bedlinens and pillows, for example, is a very personal decision, so the ability to guide and advise throughout, is their priority. Such important choices should be considered early on, rather than a hasty last minute afterthought.
Beautifully Bespoke Gillian Weir design, source and supply accessories which are every bit as beautiful as they are practical; each piece is selected to sit perfectly in its chosen interior, without ever compromising on function or practicality. The solution to finding the perfect product is often to go bespoke which brings endless choice and flexibility; the options are virtually limitless. Gillian Weir work closely with their clients, asking the right questions to find perfect products. Of course, creating the most special, completely bespoke items takes extra time, so again early involvement in the project results in the perfect solution.
The Widest Portfolio Gillian Weir have long-standing relationships with the most sought after brands and talented artisan workshops. The in-house
design department works closely with their trusted suppliers to make the most bespoke requests a reality. Extensive colour palettes, choices of finishes and intricate unique adornments are just a few of the details to be considered. A carefully placed logo or monogram are of course a popular addition. Gillian Weir also believe it is essential that you are able to view and select from their extensive range whenever you want. With dedicated access to their online Client Area you can make your own selections wherever you might be in the world.
Perfect Presentation
Once the products have been identified, designed or sourced the in-house design team at Gillian Weir put together the selection in a detailed CAD presentation. This visual ‘walk though’ the decks really brings all the selected accessories to life.
