Thank you for funding the printing of our translations of Dr Masters’ booklets Seven Certain Signs of True Conversion and What You Should Know About Your Conscience. The former has been a tremendous help to the local pastors in examining candidates for baptism in a context where other churches hurry people into it. The easy readability of the booklets is also of great benefi t. We are seeking to dis- tribute these booklets among pastors, evangelists and Christian bookstores throughout Andhra Pradesh and Tel- angana.
The Vinukonda fellowship
In December 2015 we baptised a man of 34 and a woman of 45, both from nominal Chris- tian backgrounds. He had been attending the church for the last six years, showing little real interest in spiritual things, but the Lord spoke to him during a special Gospel meeting in Vinukonda. She has always lived directly opposite our church and, two years ago, accepted an invitation to come to church and has attended ever since, having now found fi rm faith in Christ and a desire to live for him.
In January we baptised
a young man from a high-caste Hindu family
who has been attending for three and a half years. Although his family allowed him to go to church, they opposed his baptism viewing that as the point of departure from their faith. This has been a great spiritual struggle for him and for the church and we thank the Lord for his strength and love made known in trials. Our current congregation is 30 to
40 and we have 22 members. Please continue to pray for another elder and a deacon in Vinukonda to help with ministry and the burden of practical administration as we engage in the wider ministries also. We now have 18 children living with us at the children’s home – the largest number ever.
