Jaama adds functions

Jaama will promote its enhanced MyVehicle App as well as its fleet and asset management software, Key2. The second generation of the app enables drivers and operators to report any or no defects during their daily on-site inspections. The compliance functionality is designed to provide an audit trail of all plant and equipment checks, irrespective of whether any defect was spotted, and data is stored in the system for reference. Users also now have the ability to flag a defect as being a ‘critical’ safety issue, resulting in

the machinery being marked as ‘off site’ in Key2. This, in turn, will automatically trigger an ‘urgent job’ alert.

Bomag on a roll

Bomag will launch a new compact single drum roller for the UK market, the BW 124-5. It can be supplied with either a smooth or a padfoot drum, and power comes from a 33kW Deutz Tier 4 engine, with twin- pump hydraulics. The machine (pictured) offers a choice

of two amplitudes and an optional dozer blade is available. It can also be equipped with the manufacturer’s Economizer system which provides the operator with a display of real-time compaction progress.

Also on show will be the BMP 8500 trench compactor, which has an improved Economizer

system fitted as standard. The LED compaction display gives a reading in 'half' steps, allowing users to obtain consistent compaction over large areas.

Hatz engine duo

Hatz GB will display two examples from its range of water-cooled engines, namely the 3-cylinder 3H50TIC and 4-cylinder 4H50TIC. The former is a liquid-cooled unit available in a fan-to-flywheel version, as well as an OPU (open power unit) variant. With a displacement of 1.5 litres and a maximum output of 130Nm, Hatz says the engine has one of the highest torque capabilities in its class. The 4H50TIC is a 2-litre engine with

a turbocharged intercooler. An OPU version will also be displayed. The manufacturer says it is receiving interest in the H50 range from construction machinery markets, owing to the engines’ clean output, modest dimensions and ease of maintenance. Personnel will also be on hand to discuss solutions to meet the requirements of the EU Stage V regulations.
