EXECUTIVE REPORT
STAND D100
Husqvarna increases power
Husqvarna UK promoted the benefits that its cordless products can offer hirers and operators. “Non-professional users do not have to mix fuel and oil and they just have to squeeze a trigger to start the tool,” said UK Commercial Landscape & Groundcare Manager, Kevin Ashmore. “For hirers, the handover at the point of hire is simpler,
and maintenance is much more straightforward as there is no engine to service. “Other benefits include lower levels of emissions, noise and vibration. As with other battery
powered items such as mobile phones, the capacity of the batteries is constantly increasing, and it has actually doubled over the past three years.” Cordless products available in the Husqvarna portfolio include hedge trimmers, brush cutters, pole saws and chain saws.

Dominating the Brendon Powerwashers stand was the manufacturer’s 30KLN+ES Bowserwasher, a cold water machine delivering 3000psi (207 bar) at 15 litres per minute, and incorporating a 960-litre water tank for self-contained operation. The company also promoted its
Quietec Bowserwasher which has a super-silent diesel engine producing 70dB(A) at 7m and incorporates an innovative air and water cooling system that does away with the need for a radiator.

Geko Engineering is the UK distributor for a range of versatile battery powered wheelbarrows that it is importing from manufacturer, Isolit-Bravo, based in the Czech Republic. The Mobarrow units have 12V batteries and are available with rated weight capacities of up to 150kg. The batteries are said to charge in four hours and to provide sufficient power for a typical day’s work. Models can negotiate
slopes of up to 35°, and some have regenerative braking
capability so that the battery is charged while the barrow is descending. Various attachments can be fitted to the machines, including a snow plough and a winch.
