LIKE so many of you out there, the thought or even sound of the word BREXIT is enough to drive me to drink (mind you, that's not too hard in this job!)


No matter what side of the political divide you are on, there's no doubt that chaos has ensued since the vote for us to leave our European chums, and set off on a new voyage.


Whether the voyage will be stormy or we'll soon end up in calmer waters is anyone's guess.


Since the General Election there's been even more chaos, and the honest truth is that nobody knows how things will eventually pan out.


At the recent WASTE'17 event at Old Trafford, I chatted with a lot of industry heads who told me of their real concerns.


Issues include the devalued pound, uncertain borrowing facilities, and above all a lack of confidence in the UK as a whole compared to manufacturers in Germany and other EU countries.
