Aber Sand & Gravel supplied by Riverside with new Portafill 3000ST Wash Plant

ABER Sand & Gravel have been supplied with a new Portafill 3000ST Wash Plant by UK dealer Riverside Machinery Ltd.

Based in the rolling hills of Aberystwyth, Aber Sand & Gravel have taken delivery of the 3000ST, which consists of a diesel driven fresh water pump, tracked rinsing screen, sand plant and sand stockpiling conveyor.

The Welsh company are strategically located within an area of outstanding natural beauty and the compact product is efficient and easy to transport, and most importantly complies with strict planning rules and regulations. With a working height of 3.5 metres and a working area of 18 metres x 15 metres including stockpiles; the Portafill Wash Plant ticked all the boxes.

The 3000ST is currently set-up to produce 5mm washed concrete sand, and 5mm – 15mm washed gravel and washed oversize. The oversize will be crushed and re- circulated through the system. The strategic location comes in handy because water for the plant is provided by an on-site lagoon, and the water waste is then sent to a separate lagoon.
