WASTE’17 - MANCHESTER, JUNE 8
WASTE'17 exhibitors IVECO expand DriveAway range and off er shorter delivery times
IVECO, a brand of CNH Industrial, has demonstrated their commitment to the waste and construction sectors by extending its DriveAway range of ready-bodied vehicles to include hook loaders, skip loaders, tippers, tipper grabs and road sweepers.
The expansion allows customers to buy bodied IVECO vehicles from a single point of purchase, meaning they only need deal with their local dealer, instead of co-ordinating separately with bodybuilders and ancillary equipment providers.
It means IVECO can off er fl eets signifi cantly shorter delivery times, coupled with lower costs and higher residual values – with many pre-built vehicles sitting in stock with IVECO dealers for immediate delivery.
Stuart Webster, Iveco UK & ROI Business Director, said: “Our expanded DriveAway range is designed to meet the specifi c requirements of particular sectors within the waste and construction industries, where vehicles can often be required at short notice, such as when a new contract comes in and the work starts almost immediately.
“Another benefi t for customers is that vehicles can be purchased on one invoice, and with a comprehensive two-year unlimited mileage warranty covering the body and chassis. It gives operators the assurance of quality engineering from an IVECO- accredited bodybuilder, and already meeting European Whole Vehicle Type Approval standards.”
IVECO has established the new programme with some of the best bodybuilders in the industry, developing close relationships with fi rms including Abba, Boughton, Boweld, HIAB, Hyva, Johnston and Kelberg.
If a vehicle is not available from the local dealer forecourt, IVECO dealers will have the ability to quickly check for available trucks from others within the network. IVECO is also stocking chassis at many of the bodybuilder’s own production facilities, meaning that in many cases a DriveAway body can be fast-tracked into production to ensure the shortest possible lead times.
Key new models in the DriveAway range include 18-tonne Eurocargo skiploaders from three diff erent bodybuilder partners, with the fl exibility for additional customer-specifi ed options to be added post-build.
IVECO has also introduced 32-tonne Trakker 8x4 hook loaders, tippers and tipper grabs, with the tippers featuring steel

bodies and are purpose-built for demanding demolition and muckaway roles.
Also joining the range are 16-tonne Eurocargos bodied by Johnston Sweepers bodies, and benefi tting from IVECO’s 12-speed automated EuroTronic gearbox which is ideal for low- speed municipal missions.
All IVECO DriveAway vehicles off er customers the advantage of being able to meet emissions standards with a single anti- emission system – IVECO’s HI-SCR technology. HI-SCR utilises passive regeneration of the diesel particulate fi lter (DPF) and means productivity for the fl eet owner and driver is increased, as the system requires neither driver involvement nor downtime from active regeneration.

HI-SCR technology also eliminates any requirement for operators to periodically run the vehicle at motorway speeds to clean out the DPF; negatively impacting upon fuel use, vehicle availability and driver’s hours.
IVECO is exhibiting two vehicles on its stand at WASTE 17, including an 18-tonne Eurocargo skip loader and a 32-tonne Trakker hook loader, both with bodywork by Boughton.
