Joining a Zoom meeting
Guests may join a meeting through an email invite, an instant messaging invite, from their browser, from the Zoom desktop and mobile application and from a landline or mobile cell phone.
Before joining a Zoom meeting on a computer or mobile device, please download the Zoom app. Alternatively, clicking to join brings up a prompt to download and install Zoom.
Each meeting has a unique meeting ID number that is required to join a Zoom meeting. Those joining via telephone will need a teleconferencing number. These codes are provided by the host in the invite sent to guests, who should click the join link in their email or calendar invitation. Note: Some web browsers, provide a prompt to open Zoom: Open the Internet browser and go to
https://join.zoom.us. Enter the meeting ID provided by the host/organiser, then click on the Join button to open the Zoom desktop client.
Join the meeting using one of these methods: 1 Click Join a Meeting to join without signing in. 2 Sign in to Zoom and then click Join.
3 Enter the meeting ID number and your display name.
4 Select to connect to audio and/or video and then click Join.
To join a Zoom event using Internet enabled hardware such as smartphones, tablets, et cetera, open the relevant Zoom app and follow the appropriate on-screen instructions.

Joining a Zoom meeting when using non- Internet enabled hardware such as a traditional standard dial-up telephone means that only audio participation is available. To do so, dial the teleconferencing number provided in the invitation. Then, when prompted, use the dial key pad to tap in the meeting ID number, which should also be included in the original invitation.
